Writing for the first time, on this blog. So, a big Hi to all Desi momz from around the world.

Just the right moment, to introduce me and my family. Iam a true Kolkatan based currently out of Gurgaon. Not that I miss Kolkata all the time, but definitely feel nostalgic about school, college and initial working days, and marriage.

My son was born in Kolkata and speaks Bengali without accent but can not read or write. So every Summer holidays, I master some courage to pick up some books to teach him Bengali scripts. By the end of the holidays, I am a happy Mom. But come the next summer, we are once more back to the drawing board.

While I struggle with my office work carried home, Sunday is a bright sunny day for all of us. While washing and cleaning happens in its own steam, we have an encouraging menu to look forward to for the day.

DB, my hubby is a foodie in its true sense, with dozens of food fusses, as baggage from childhood.
Hence two different sets of fav. menus when DB is around or not. While Reik and I don't mind binging on a Rajma Chawal for lunch, DB can not imagine a meal without non veg, and definitely not for a Rajma Chawal.

Hope to share a lot of funny anecdotes that we gathered through past 8 yrs of our stay away from Kolkata.
